Terms of service

These terms are between you and Sami Baguneid, trading as Sitepoke ("Sitepoke", "we"), in England. By using Sitepoke you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@sitepoke.com.

What Sitepoke does

We redesign your existing website, host the new one, and change it when you ask us to, by message. The redesign is done by our software, including AI, and checked by our own quality rules.

Free redesign, then a subscription

• Your first redesign is free. You can look at it, share it and ask for changes at its preview address (yourname.sitepoke.site).
• Putting the site on your own domain needs a subscription: £25 a month per website, including VAT where it applies, billed monthly in advance through our payment provider, Stripe.
• You can cancel at any time from "Manage billing". Your site stays on your domain until the end of the month you've paid for. We don't refund part months.
• If a payment fails we'll try again and let you know. If it still hasn't been paid after 14 days, we may take the site off your domain until it is.
• We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of any price change.

Your content and your domain

• Your words, photos, logos and other material stay yours. You give us permission to use them to build, host and change your site.
• You confirm you have the right to use everything that's on your current site and everything you send us, including photos of other people.
• You're responsible for what your site says being accurate and lawful, including prices, qualifications and memberships. Check your new site before you put it on your domain, and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
• Your domain name stays yours. We never take ownership of it. You keep it with whoever you bought it from.
• The design we make for you is yours to use for as long as you're a customer. If you leave, ask us and we'll send you a copy of your site's files.

Fair use

Please don't use Sitepoke for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful, or to impersonate someone else. We may refuse or remove content that breaks the law or these terms. Changes are included in your subscription within a fair-use limit of 20 a day.

Our service

• We work hard to keep your site online and fast, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable. We'll fix problems as quickly as we reasonably can.
• Our software can make mistakes. We'll correct any mistake we make as soon as you tell us about it.
• We may improve or change how Sitepoke works. We'll tell you before any change that makes it worse for you.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you for any year is limited to the fees you paid us in that year. We aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or business. If you're using Sitepoke as a consumer, you also have your statutory rights, and these terms don't affect them.

Ending the service

You can cancel whenever you like. We may end your use of Sitepoke with 30 days' notice, or straight away if you seriously break these terms. If either of us ends it, we'll send you your site's files if you ask within 30 days.

Changes to these terms, and the law

We'll email you at least 30 days before any important change to these terms. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute.
